When the Glassboys visited Brandhall last season the weather was poor the pitch was tiny and Will slotted in the winning penalty with the last kick of the game to seal an amazing come back with the final score being 7-6 to the Glassboys. Today was nothing like that! weather was Ok pitch was bigger and both Brandhall and the Glassboys didn't look like scoring 13 goals between them, This was a much tighter affair with both sides struggling to get any kind of passing going and when the first goal came it was from Brandhall with a deflected effort that looped into the goal (1-0). With finishing second now looking remote the Glassboys got themselves back into the game with another deflection this time after a surging run and shot from Kane (1-1) and that was how the half ended and now for the Glassboys to even have a hope of second place we needed to get more goals in the second half to win the game. Brandhall though played just as well as the Glassboys and provided the knockout blow midway through the second half with a fiercely struck shot (2-1) and try as we might the equaliser wouldn't come and so the game ended (2-1) to Brandhall and the fight for second place all but over.
